Each weekday there are 6 tables available to be booked, 4 in the south wing near Starbucks and 2 at the north entrance, near Union Market. Clubs are permitted up to 5 tables per month, which are booked out on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at NOON on the 15th day of the previous month.

Club Tables are to be used for club promotion and information dissemination, but not for commercial activity (including ticket/merchandise sales) nor direct fundraising.

MUSC Policy on Club Tables

Club Tables may be booked out by MSU-recognized clubs, Faculty Societies, Teams, McMaster Departments and MSU departments for the purpose of promoting the group’s activities to the McMaster community

Club Tables are booked no earlier than the 15th day of the previous month (e.g. October 15th for November 1-30 bookings)

Groups are permitted a maximum of five (5) Club Tables per month and no more than one (1) per day.

Only a registered booking contact for the group may submit a request for a MUSC Club Table. Due to extremely high demand for the tables, requests submitted by someone other than the registered booking contact will be disregarded

Club Table reservations will only be processed through the MUSC website form (www.muscmcmaster.ca). Tables will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis

The booking contact requesting the table will be contacted by email with the details regarding booked dates and table numbers. The booking contact is responsible for ensuring the details of the booking are correct. Groups must report to their assigned table only.

Club Tables may be occupied between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and MUST be occupied between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Attendance will be taken.

Commercial activity is not permitted at Club Tables

o No money, food/beverage, or merchandise is permitted to change hands at the Club Table

o No merchandise or tickets may be sold or given away

o No donations may be accepted at the table

o Promotion of a third-party organization is not permitted

Promotion of a charitable organization is permitted, provided the promotion is connected to an activity or event sponsored by the group or is part of the group’s mandate.

Club Table activity should not interfere with the quiet enjoyment of others using or working in McMaster University Student Centre

o No loud noises, music, videos, singing, instruments, carnival barking, etc.

o No aggressive marketing, including the distribution of handbills or flyers

o No images that are inappropriate for general public consumption
