We offer prominent banner locations for MSU-recognized clubs, MSU departments, McMaster departments, faculty societies, and teams to promote events, initiatives, and campaigns.

MUSC Banner Policy

Booking Timeline & Requirements

Banners may be booked out by MSU-recognized clubs, Faculty Societies, Teams, McMaster departments and MSU departments for the purpose of promoting the group’s activities to the McMaster community.

 

Clubs, Faculty Societies: please ensure your President (or equivalent) has completed the Student Group Booking Privileges Form before submitting a Banner Request form.

 

Banners are booked no earlier than NOON on the 15th day of the previous month (e.g. October 15th for November 1–30 bookings).

 

Groups are permitted a maximum of two (2) Banner spaces per month and no more than one (1) per week.

 

Only a registered booking contact for the group may submit a request for MUSC Space. Due to extremely high demand for the spaces, requests submitted by someone other than the registered booking contact will be disregarded.

Booking Process

Banner space reservations will only be processed through the MUSC website form (www.muscmcmaster.ca). Tables will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

The booking contact requesting the banner space will be contacted by email with the details regarding booked dates and banner location. The booking contact is responsible for ensuring the details of the booking are correct. Banners must be hung in the assigned location only.

 

Banners may be hung on the first Monday of the assigned week after 10:00 AM. Any group failing to hang its banner by Tuesday at 1:00 PM will forfeit the space for the week.

 

Banners must be removed by the following Monday at 9:00 AM. Failure to remove the banner on time may result in a removal fee.

 

All banners and the placement of banners are subject to approval by MUSC Administration.

MUSC Banner Policy

Banner Requirement

The MAXIMUM SIZE for banners posted in interior spaces is 2m wide X 1m high.

 

Banners will be permitted for MUSC, MSU, MAPS, and McMaster University events only. The name of the sponsoring group or organization must be shown clearly on the banner.

 

Banners must be in English, or have an accurate and complete English translation.

 

 

Location & Requirements

Banners will be permitted on the bulkhead below the second floor lounges (overlooking the Marketplace) and from the second floor corridor (overlooking the south end of the food court Atrium).

 

Banners must not cover the glass on the railing.

 

Banners must be secured by rope, string or velcro straps only. NO ADHESIVES (glue, tape) ARE PERMITTED, as they cause damage to the surfaces.
