Poster Policy
Due to space constraints on MUSC bulletin boards, the maximum allowable size for posters is 11″ x 17″.
All posters (except those from McMaster departments or offices that include official logos) must be approved at The Underground Media & Design Centre (MUSC B117) before posting.
Once approved, bring up to 4 posters to MUSC-222. MUSC Administration will post a maximum of four (4) posters per event.
Approved posters are typically displayed for 1 week, but may remain for up to 1 month, depending on space availability.
Bulletin boards in MUSC are reserved for McMaster-based activities and events only. Posters promoting external events or commercial ventures will not be accepted.
MUSC Poster Policy
Posters are only permitted in glass-enclosed, locked bulletin boards within MUSC. Posters and printed materials are not allowed on the following surfaces:
- Doors
- Glass
- Interior or exterior walls
- Mirrors
- Washroom stalls
- Water fountains
- Floors or ceilings
- Garbage receptacles
- Furniture
- Columns
- Light poles, trees, or sidewalks
Printed materials (e.g., handbills, flyers, stickers, newspapers) may not be distributed unless your group has booked a Club Table or Vendor Table. If so, materials may be placed on your table only — they must not be forced upon passers-by.
Posters or materials that are improperly displayed will be immediately removed by MUSC staff. Any damage or excessive cleaning required due to improper posting may result in charges to your group.
